McLaren made their name in Formula 1 where they have competed since 1966 and gained over 10 Drivers Championships and 8 Constructors World Championships. However in recent years it has been clouded in controversy surrounding espionage allegations and the team have failed to win a Constuctors World Championship wince 1998. This is in stark contrast to their road performance where they have made there first tentative steps to great success.






The first foray into this area was the imaginatively named McLaren F1 which was immensely powerful with its 627bhp and top speed of 241mph. It is still the fourth fastest production car ever made and the fastest to be made without the use of turbochargers. Following the F1 was the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren. Available as a Roadster also, this car was a far more comfortable affair coinciding with a slight decrease in speed and acceleration.







What the future holds is not clear. McLaren aborted a series of P8, P9 and P10 cars. It is hoped that they one day take up the challenge again and offer another alternative to the super car juggernauts.

Mclaren and Ferrari always dominate this 2008 season. For now, there's still no confirmation if the Ferrari team has already started developing the Ferrari F2009 for Felipe Massa and Kimi Raikkonen and there's no confirmation either if the Mclaren team already started developing there MP4-24 for Lewis Hamilton. We still don't have any idea what will be the next design of the Ferrari f2009 and the Mclaren MP4-24, but but here is my own design of the car. Watch out and be updated always on Formula one 'cause one thing is for sure that we will be seeing another spectacular race this 2009 season.
