Old Chevy Trucks are becoming more popular with the collectors, this becomes evident if you have been to a old truck show lately. The restoration of old Chevy trucks is more popular now then ever. Why is it that old Chevy trucks,in particular the 67-72 models, that has everyone looking to rebuild one? Maybe it is the memories of dad or grandpas old work truck that is driving a bit of it, but I am going to say it probably has more to do with the great look and feel of these old trucks. Here is a outline of the late 60's and early 70's old Chevy trucks. If you are interested in learning more, I suggest you read the article : A Collectors Guide To Old Chevy Trucks.

1969
Who could ever forget the 1969 model? This was the year a classic engine was made available, the 350 cid V-8. Although the Chevy 350 small block is still produced in Mexico today, its last production run in the US was 2002. The funny thing is this is one engine size you will find cut across manufacturers lines being available in GM and Ford model vehicles. '69 was also the first year for the K-5 Blazer.

1970

The grille was one small differnce between '69 and '70. Other then that, there was very little change.

1971

The trim options where increased, but the body style remained the same in 1971.More padding and chrome were added depending on which option you chose; all options were geared towards comfort and looks. It is important to note that this was the year AM/FM radios were available installed on your new Chevy truck, and weren't we all glad to finally have FM in the truck?

1972

Other than changing the position of the rear view mirror and adding some wood grain to the interior of some of the models, Chevy did not alter the design much in the 1972 model year.
